A GAME INDUSTRY CONFERENCE BY AND FOR US: THE WORKERS!

MAY 22 - MAY 23, 2026

AN ENTIRELY NEW GAME INDUSTRY EVENT

The Game Workers Conference is an entirely new game industry event made by and for the countless workers who make this massively influential industry and artistic medium succeed.

The first iteration of the conference is being hosted by a partnership of various game industry unions and worker-centered organizations and will be held
online Friday May 22, 2026 and Saturday May 23, 2026.

SPEAKER & SESSION ANNOUNCEMENTS COMING SOON!

Dozens of speakers will be covering a wide range of subjects including industry skills, project post-mortems, movement work, union campaigns, and more!

Sessions will be publicly announced in the weeks leading up to the conference in May.

Early highlights include:

Members of The Game Awards Future Class discussing their experiences during the program and how things might be improved for the future.

SAG-AFTRA organizers sharing lessons learned from their long history of organizing in the games industry, including their most recent voice actor strike and fight against AI.

Organizers from No Games for Genocide on the ties between the games industry and war, genocide, and oppression - and what we can do about it.

Game industry journalists in a candid panel discussion about their experiences, the ties between press and industry, and their relationship to game worker movements.

And game workers from across AAA and indie development studios sharing about their crafts, their conditions, and union organizing experiences.

ATTEND A WATCH PARTY

We will be hosting a number of in-person Game Workers Conference Watch Parties in cities around the world (including Los Angeles, Montréal, New York City, and more to be announced)! Come join your fellow workers in a city near you.

Build a sense of community, and watch along with the talks as they are streamed online, and grab some food during one of our scheduled breaks.
